Pescatarian Lifestyle

Written: October 30, 2018

Salutations! I hope all is well in your universe. I pray that you're at peace and healthy! I wanted to discuss something new that I decided to do, which is become a pescatarian!

So, earlier this year I reconnected with some friends, they all switched over to this pescatarian diet and it was complimenting them very well. One friend was losing weight, the other was able to have better control over her menstrual cycles and the other had food that finally complimented her digestive system. So, with that being said, of course I jumped on the bandwagon and became a pescatarian too!

First and foremost, never do something because your friends are doing it! The first week was extremely hard, I wasn't ready for such a restricted diet. I still had chicken wings calling my name, every time I would go to find food for lunch. I wasn't consistent and I often found myself "faking" the lifestyle, just to keep up with my friends. Such a shame! So, I decided to stop faking the funk and go back to eating whatever I desired.

Unfortunately, this lead to weight gain and a host of other issues I was having with my body. Over the summer, I tried very hard to go back to the diet. Nothing was working. I couldn't help but to eat turkey, chicken and beef. Until, I had the craziest menstrual episode of my life. I thought I had wronged somebody and the payback was coming from my uterus. Now, many may say, what does that have to do with the pescatarian diet? Well, believe it or not, a lot of what we consume really affects our bodies. I believe all the meats and processed food I was eating put my pussy in distress. If you don't believe me, Google "Can Food Affect Your Menstrual Cycle”

After that horrific episode, I decided to go back to the pescatarian diet. I officially started October 1st, so I’m still new to this. I'll write about my food options and overall benefits soon. I want to do the diet long enough, to truly talk about its benefits. But, I have had a menstrual cycle since then and let me tell you, it was like walking through paradise compared to the last one.
