When people ask, "What are Chakras?!" I simply reply, "Our Energy System." As simple as that. We have a nervous system, a lymphatic, cardiovascular system and so on. Our chakras are our energy system. Each part guiding you throughout the day. Below, you will see my explanation of each chakra.
Root Chakra (I AM): Our foundation. You may hear people talk about being "Grounded" when they are having a conversation about life, transition or even when circumstances seem topsy-turvy. Our Root Chakra is found at the base of the spine. When your root is right, you feel safe, anchored, literally rooted in life. Even if life has challenges, you maneuver through them as best as possible when your root chakra is aligned.
Sacral Chakra (I FEEL): Our pleasure vortex. From creativity, inspiration, passion and emotion, the Sacral Chakra is where we get all our feels! This chakra is located below the naval. When your Sacral Chakra is aligned; intimacy is easy, your relationships will be healthy (Sidenote: not perfect, healthy!) and your inspiration will flow freely.
Solar Plexus Chakra (I ACT): Willpower. The Solar Plexus is fuel to the Sacral Chakra. This is your "can do" center, this is where you render your identity and power! Our Solar Plexus is located at the naval. When your Solar Plexus is on point you are productive, you want to meet your goals and you meet every day with a "can do" attitude.
Heart Chakra (I LOVE): Compassion, Forgiveness, Unconditional Love and Peace. The Heart Chakra located at the center of our chest, is all about the good in us. It is about sharing that energy in the best way possible. When your Heart Chakra is aligned, you can forgive easily, communicate better, and love openly.
Throat Chakra (I SPEAK): Communication is key. The way that we express ourselves is very important. Our truth, voice, purpose it all signified by our Throat Chakra. When your able to express yourself in a positive/healthy way, your Throat Chakra is on the right track. When you can communicate your fears, disagreements, gratitude and more, your Throat Chakra is on the right track.
Third Eye Chakra (I SEE): All that is. Your Third Eye sees better than the two you have. Located between the eyebrows, it sees energy and can discern situations. It houses our imagination, insight, and wisdom. This chakra allows us to have awareness beyond what we see. When your Third Eye is open you can tune in on subtle energies, and you can see life clearer.
Crown Chakra (I KNOW): Divine Connection. The Crown Chakra located at the top of our head is opened to receive divine energy directly to the system. This chakra grants us enlightenment and universal awareness. When the Crown Chakra is fully aligned, you are somewhere between spiritual impotence and full spiritual enlightenment.
This sums up my interpretation of our energy system.
